Jailbroken iPhone 3G with real external keyboard

Sometimes technology improvements just doesn’t fit with some people. The touchscreen devices such as iPhone 3G have literally removed their keyboard, and this can be frustrating for some people who loves phone just the way they were, with real keyboard. Well then, it looks like one of those people have already jailbroken his/her iPhone 3G and do a pretty interesting stuff. It seems that the man is running a chunk of Ruby code on his jailbroken iPhone 3G, which allows it to recognize what appears to be a Palm / Visor external keyboard connected via a custom cable. The results of this intense bit of modification? Well — not much, honestly, but it’s still kinda cool. “Hello Keyboard,” indeed. Check out the video here
