Firefox Mobile Fennec in Android OS: No Chance for Now

You know, Android platform might be the oasis for people who wants Fennec, the mobile version of Firefox in their phones, after iPhone said no to them. Or so many of us think so. Too bad the answer from Google is NO. Yes people, you’re right. NO Fennec on Android for now. The words came out from ABC News, by the way.
There’s an explanation behind this. Android requires everything or anything to be written in a custom form of Java to run on Android. The problem is that Mozilla will not follow that rule, according to Jay Sullivan. So what can we conclude from this? Yes. There won’t be Mobile Firefox (a.k.a. Fennec) on Android until Google accepts programs not written in Java. And uh, that could take a long, long while. Anyone else sorely, bruisingly disappointed? Cause that basically leaves Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile as the only places to get your Firefox Mobile on.
Anyway, Fennec is tipped to be one of the best mobile browsers, with competitive performance in Safari JavaScript and speeds to write home about not only that, its hinted that in the future the Mozilla browser will have voice control. For those who wants the Fennec alpha, you can find it here
