Nokia 5630 XpressMusic features: S60 Music phone with N-Gage gaming and HSDPA
The new variant of XpressMusic has arrived. The Nokia 5630 XM is more than just a music phone. With the same vein as the 5800 XM, the Nokia 5630XM features will shock you. Keep on reading guys
I will unveil some Nokia 5630XM interesting features… Prepare your seat, since the features you’ll see is almost too good to be true ![]()

You can store up to 3000 songs and music to it’s 4GB microSD MC (the Nokia 5630XM supports up to 16GB), and also can enjoy Comes with Music services and features in available countries. What’s interesting is the ’say and play’ feature (first debuted on the 5320 XpressMusic last year), letting you speak the name of an artist of track to automatically play it. Plus, the Nokia 5630 comes loaded with a 3.5mm headphone connector, stereo Bluetooth, FM stereo and Internet radio to wrap up its music credentials.
And here’s where the story becomes interesting… The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic will pack Symbian S60 OS and also HSDPA connectivity features, which will give tou the best internet experience (for example, widgets, Ovi share and Nokia Messaging)
.
And if that’s not enough, Nokia also put N-Gage gaming system on the Nokia 5630XM (Note that its the 2nd device outside N-series who get the system, the first one is Nokia 6210). The Nokia 5630XM is the slimmest and lightest N-gage device available to date. It’s only 12mm thin and 83gr weight, wow.
Another smart addition to the features is the home screen, which features a new Contacts Bar that has a definite widget feel to it – smartly animated, you can scroll through icons for up to 20 contacts and interact with them directly from the home screen.
It doesn’t shirk its responsibilities imaging wise, delivering digital shots via a 3.2 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 4x zoom, and recording video, both of which can be uploaded and shared online via Flickr and Share on Ovi. And this is where another of the 5630’s more subtle skills steps into the limelight – as well as being HSDPA enabled, it’s also HSUPA enabled, meaning it can upload data over your network at speeds of up to 2mbps (following in the footsteps of the 6260 slide, Nokia’s first HSUPA phone last November) and making video and photo sharing on the move a significantly faster and more engaging option.
It will go on sale in selected countries in the second quarter of 2009 for around 199 Euros (before the usual taxes and subsidies).
So basically, it’s a music phone featuring gaming phone with a touch of smartphone. Wow. A dream phone for me
