Image hosting by IMGBoot.comThere are some complaints about the Blackberry storm’s touchscreen that remains active when we’re making a call. And finally I believe that I’ve found the FREE and pretty reliable solution over at the internet. So this time I present you the Free Blackberry Storm Software named Talk Lock. This utilities freeware will lock your phone when you’re in a call to prevent accidental screen presses. Cool huh?

So the official site said that the Blackberry Storm freeware will automatically engages a few seconds after a call is connected, and intercepts touch screen actions. Of course, when you’re done calling the Blacberry’s touchscreen will active again. You can also disable the lock and return to your normal phone behavior at any time by swiping your finger across the screen from left to right. Oh, by the way, you need BlackBerry Storm, OS 4.7.0 or above.

Here are some features of the Blackberry Storm’s cool freeware:

  • Automatically runs after installation, and on each reboot
  • Automatically activates after phone calls are connected
  • Automatically hides when phone calls are completed
  • Manual unlock with “slide to unlock” function
  • Menu item to re-engage lock after unlock
  • Customizeable backround image (uses /home/user/TalkLock-Background.png if it exists under Device Memory)

Read more information on its official site (and have your Talklock sent to your Storm from there). Enjoy!

UPDATE: It seems that the TalkLock developers have chopped the word “free”. Too bad… The software is now priced at US$2.99. It’s still reasonable price for me… What do you think?

I do have an OTA link that offer the Talklock for free, but I do not know about the license… Download it at your own risk, ok? Remember, I strongly suggest you to purchase it to support the developer…

Blackberry Storm’s web browser is nice and decent. It also enough to browse YouTube videos. However, a dedicated client usually will bring you much richer experience and that is what exactly Google is doing right now. So according to my source, Google has released a free YouTube client for BlackBerry Storm, the very first Blackberry device with touchscreen.

YouTube client’s features including:

  • Browse millions of videos, including most viewed, top rated, and the day’s featured videos.
  • Access your YouTube account on your phone and access your Favorites, Playlists, and your own uploaded videos.
  • Upload videos directly from your phone and see them appear within moments on both the mobile site and YouTube.com.
  • Favorite, share, rate, and comment on videos directly from the mobile website to other YouTube users.
  • Find the specific video you’re looking for by easily searching for it.
  • Discover “Related” videos for each video you watch on your phone.

So you can download the free youtube client for Blackberry Storm by following the link under and then you enter your phone number. Then Google will send you a link to download the free Blackberry Storm YouTube Client. The second way is you connect to the internet from your Blackberry Storm browser and go to m.google.com/youtube.

Here’s The link; Enjoy :)

Hello there!! Are you a Blackberry Storm new user? If you are, you can now download the user manual for the first ever full-touch screen Blackberry from our folks at Crackberry. However, I have to remind you that the manual is pretty thick, consisting 249 pages. I bet you can find almost anything related to your Blackberry Storm there. Anyway, the file size is 1.14 MB and you can download it here.

bbstormcobtestThere’s a very interesting contest I just found over at the internet. CrackBerry have announced a new contest that offer you 10 brand new Blackberry Storm! The contest name is ‘What Would You Do For a BlackBerry Storm? Contest.

It’s simple really. They want to know what would YOU do to get a BlackBerry Storm. Be creative people, since i think that it’s got to be crazy and unique. 10 winners will be selected from submissions received. However, the catch is that in order for winners to actually receive their new BlackBerry Storm, they have to video or provide some sort of proof of them completing their ‘What Would You Do’ submission. So, lets say I wrote in and said ‘I’d wrestle a bear to get a BlackBerry Storm!’ If they picked me, guess what, I better provide video proof of me wrestling a bear! (of course, I’m sure nothing too dangerous or life threatening will be selected as a winner).

Looks like a fun contest!

Is it just me or everyone agree that news and rumors about Blackberry have a big portion of attention recently? Well I’m here to give you more of it :) . There’s a new rumors about the Blackberry Thunder Storm, saying that the phone might be released pretty soon, September 15th, to be exact and sales of the new device are currently scheduled to go green on November 1st. Any wagers if they’ll actually make that date?

The news leaked via an internal email floating around Verizon Wireless featuring the above image. Note the subtle hints in it… Hmmm, I wonder what it could be about? Stormy clouds, finger-print… touchscreen? Hmmm I wonder!? :)

The latest also pegs that Verizon will launch their BlackBerry Storm Website on Monday as well (check the link on the 15th… we’re thinking it may be active.)

If you’ve been waiting for a touchscreen smartphone from RIM, the wait appears to almost be over.

Here comes the latest information about the Blackberry Storm/Thunder. It is said that this device will be delayed until mid-November on Verizon. It seems that the problem is technical, and it will take 3-4 weeks to fix it. Moreover, it’s been delayed due to the bugs they have to fix prior to giving it the green signal to hit the market. According to our source, the information they’ve gathered is pretty solid. So I guess its a good two months of waiting again before we get to see this bad boy released.

Well, at least they’re doing their job and making sure things are working properly. They just better make sure that they fix all of them bugs before it hits store shelves because, quite frankly, what’s all the hold up for if they won’t be able to make it work perfectly, right?
