Best Android / Blackberry Apps

Here’s another best apps recommendation from me for Android phone users out there. But the reason I put the Android apps here is not because they offer the free and PRO version, it’s because they simply the best apps in their category. Whether you have HTC droid, Incredible or even the new HTC EVO 4G; these apps is a must have Android apps for people with a busy life and often on the go.

I’m sure some of you have heard Oprah’s campaign on no phone zone while driving. I’m also sure that some of you doesn’t agree with her or you agree but you feel that you still have to activate your phone while driving, just in case you get important calls etc. Well I recently got an interesting email and I think there’s now a win-win solution for this problem.

Meet two of my favorite apps when driving: Drivesafe and Caller ID Reader. Both apps comes from the same developer, and both apps will help you handle your email, text and phone while you ride, so you don’t have to look to your phone while driving. So you can stay connected, while keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Isn’t it great?

Well lets talk about them and allow me to give you a glimpse on how the apps works.

DriveSafe Android App will help you with email and text. DriveSafe android app will automatically read your email and text out loud as soon as you receive them. It is easy to setup, customizable, and it’s also a light app. The app of course compatible with bluetooth. Checkout the video below:

Meanwhile, the Caller ID reader works in almost the same way as Drivesafe. The difference is that the android app will read the caller id when you receive a call on the go. Here are some screenshots from the app:

The Best Android apps is available in two version; and here’s the pricing:

Caller ID Reader Free version will give you the same features, but with  an upgrade message after every third use. The Caller ID Reader PRO will cost you $9.95 (one time fee). Meanwhile the Drivesafe PRO version cost is $13.95 annually.

Looking from the price point, I personally think that it is worth every penny.

PS: the best android apps can also works on Blackberry devices. How great is that? you can checkout more information on www.calleridreader.com and www.drivesafe.ly (The drivesafe works on other platform too, including iPhone)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usIt is widely known that the Nokia N900 might be the Nokia’s best device in 2009. And if you happen to be Nokia N900 or Nokia N810 owner, you might want to download this free web browser client for Maemo devices.

By using the Firefox for Maemo (a.k.a. Fennec) on your beloved Nokia N900 you will be able to “forget about the clunky, stripped-down mobile Web you’re used to”. Anyway, there are some improvements on this version of mobile firefox. Some of them are enhanced text rendering and N900-specific bug fixes.

The web browser features Awesome Bar, Password Manager, tabbed browsing, location-aware browsing, one-touch bookmarking, desktop syncing and add-ons (for personalization) and other interesting features. Moreover, the browser is available in more than 30 languages, including Arabic, French, German, Russian, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

You can download the firefox web client for Maemo devices including N900 and N810 straight from the Mozilla official website link provided below:
