After the Nokia and RIM official respond to the Steve Jobs claim on the press release, regarding the iPhone 4 antenna issue a.k.a. the death grip, HTC finally respond to the iPhone 4 press conference and the Steve Jobs demonstration; although it is not an official respond.

Eric Lin, the global PR manager (for HTC), explained that there’s approximately .016% of HTC customers complained about the antenna, and added that they  have had very few complaints about signal or antenna problems on the Eris.

The .016% is a very small number… It seems that HTC is responding calmly about the iPhone 4 antenna problem and the demonstration on the HTC Eris. Unlike the RIM and Nokia harsh critique to the Apple and its iPhone 4.

We heard nothing about the CDMA iPhone 4 when it was officially introduced by Steve Jobs earlier this month. He didn’t mention anything about Apple’s plan on making CDMA iPhone 4 whatsoever. However, buzzes and rumors about the CDMA iPhone 4 have appeared. Again.

From what we heard, the CDMA iPhone 4 will be made by Pegatron, and Apple should start receiving them in the 4th quarter of 2010. If this rumor is true, then the strongest candidate for the CDMA iPhone 4 provider should be Verizon. One thing that made me a bit unsure is the AT&T and Apple iPhone exclusivity deal which should be ended in 2013. But things might have changed, right?

Anyway, if Verizon really release the CDMA iPhone 4, Motorola and HTC phones will get serious reduce in the sell numbers. You know how popular iPhone 4 is. If I were them, I would surely hope that the CDMA iPhone 4 rumor is not true.

In addition, we also heard that Verizon is testing CDMA iPad. What???

Here are the new top-five cell phone manufacturers based on their market share:

(in order from largest market share to smallest)

Nokia – 39.4%
Samsung – 17.3%
Sony Ericsson – 8.6%
Motorola – 8.5%
LG Electronics – 7.7%

So what changed? Motorola lost 4.3% market share in the past year, going from third to fourth place. LG gained 0.1% market share but remained in fifth place overall. The big winner, it seems, is none other than Samsung, who has been able to cement its second-place hold at 17.3% global market share, up from 14.7% a year ago. Nokia didn’t fare badly either, gaining a cool 0.8% to 39.4%.

There’s a lot of cool stuff in the IDC report, like a regional analysis (North America: smartphones are selling strong) and more phone manufacturer-specific analysis. Check it out:

Sad news came from the official Twitter account of the HTC, saying that the HTC Touch HD is not meant to be sold in the U.S. Checkout a piece of their post at the Twitter:

sad news, US. we looked into it- by the time we could bring Touch HD to the states, it would be old news. we do have other cool stuff coming

Some say that it is understandable since HTC intends to push the sales of the HTC Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro at the U.S markets.  However, I bet many American people are disappointed since I know how enthusiastic they are about the HTC Touch HD…

Soon after the XPERIA X1 slips through the FCC, a hands-on video of the XPERIA X1 emerged yesterday. Well, I’m gonna make it short then. Please follow the link under to watch the video…enjoy, folks. Thanks to the unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog for the link.

There’s a new buzz over at the internet saying that the first ever Nokia phone model that comes with free access to music will come on Oct 17 in Britain. A British-based website named Carphone Warehouse have said this at their web page. This information came from Maximus at the Justanothermobilephoneblog.

Nokia’s “Comes with Music” bundle of phone and music service could help the music industry make up for falling CD sales, while challenging dominance of Apple’s (AAPL.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) iTunes in the digital music market.

The package will differ from other bundles on the market as users can keep all the music they have downloaded during the 12 month subscription period.

Carphone, the exclusive retailer for the first model, said the phone was expected to go on sale on Oct 17.

A Nokia spokesman declined to comment.

Nokia has signed deals with the top three music labels — Universal (VIV.PA: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), Sony BMG (6758.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) BERT.UL and Warner Music Group (WMG.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) — to offer their tracks on the service.

Having the world’s three largest labels on board is set to help Nokia attract smaller music companies and challenge the dominant pay-per-track sales model for digital music.

“‘Comes with Music’ and other bundled services, should they succeed, offer a lifeline to the music labels which have seen revenues decline sharply in the digital age,” David MacQueen, analyst at researchers Strategy Analytics, said in a statement.

Strategy Analytics said its consumer survey showed clear latent demand for bundles like “Comes with Music”, with 84 percent of respondents willing to pay for such service.

“Comes with Music” is a key part of Nokia’s push to expand its offering to services, beyond maturing cellphone market.

While last year Apple grabbed most of the headlines in mobile world with iPhone, now analysts say Nokia has stolen the spotlight from Apple in the digital music world with the “Comes with Music” package.

It has been several months since the Facebook has tried out their beta version of new layout design.  Several days ago the social networking site that has more than 100 million of users has shut down their previous layout design, making some people who prefer the previous version shout out about it. Meanwhile Facebook owner believe that users will soon get used to it. Two groups opposed to new Facebook already have 1 million members each.

Facebook notes it’s aiming for such benefits as:

A cleaner and simpler profile, while providing users more control over changes they may wish to implement.
An emphasis on using feeds to deliver the most recent and relevant information.

Well, regardless you like it or not, you will have to take the new design to your facebook account…

There’s a newest forecast regarding the mobile social networks. According to a research company named ABI Research, there will be more than 140 million mobile subscribers participated the mobile social networks at 2013. Moreover, this condition can gave Mobile Social Networks companies more than $410 million. That’s a lot.

Some mobile versions of social networks will follow the same model common to today’s Internet-based groups such as MySpace and Facebook: free browser-based access. Such models pose a problem for mobile operators by limiting their slice of the revenue to a charge for data traffic.

Beyond the relatively modest subscription revenues that mobile social networking will generate, there will also be significant opportunities in mobile advertising as well as in mobile content sales. A recent end-user survey conducted by ABI Research showed that mobile users of social networks are likely to consume two or three times as much digital mobile content (pictures, music, videos and games) than their “asocial” peers.
