Ok another touchscreen device from Nokia, and this one is said to be the successor of the famous Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The phone’s name is Nokia 5900 XpressMusic and we got some of its specs revealed just recently.

Ok, so based on our source, the Nokia 5900 XM might have a more similar hardware specs to the Nokia N97 rather than its older brother the Nokia 5800 XM. So the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic might use the same CPU and RAM of the Nokia N97. It is also a touchscreen, of course. Another nice addition is the 5 megapixel camera. I hope it will perform well compared to other 5 megapixel cameraphone, since the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic does not have the best 3.2 camera in the market.

The Nokia 5900 XpressMusic will also boast a new UI which could be very well be the upcoming S60 5th Edition SP1.In terms of design, the same 5800 feel will remain intact to the 5900, however it is said to be lighter and slimmer. It is rumored that the Nokia 5900 Xpressmusic will be able to support more than 32 GB of memory card.

No release date is available so far, however, we predict that it might be announced in the Nokia World 2009 in September. Hopefully….

I recently stumble upon one of my favorite forum, the daily mobile and found this interesting free theme named Black iPhone. As you can see from image above, the theme is really nice and as the name shows, it is a dark side of the original iPhone interface. Just so you know, the theme also works on other Nokia touchscreen device, the Nokia N97

You can find the discussion about this free theme at the original page in the forum. Thank the creator guys :)

Ok we know that China has a lot of phones that looks very much alike popular phones such as iPhone, N97, Nokia 5800, etc… But don’t worry guys, for all of those Chinese people who wanted to get the real Nokia 5800 XM you will see the device pretty soon. The 5800XM version that enters the China market will be the new version; the Nokia 5800i XpressMusic.

The new Nokia 5800i XM have a pretty similar to the original version of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. However, the full specs of the device is yet unknown. Just wait and see guys :)

Recently there is a new minor update for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Firmware available over at the internet. However, just like I said, it is just a minor firmware update; so do not expect much about it. It doesn’t pack the kinetic scrolling and enhanced homescreen as expected.

As usual, the minor update fix several bugs and improve the speed of Nokia 5800 XM, there’s also an addition of new email plug-in on the homescreen.. Anyway, you can download the firmware update via OTA (Over the Air); directly from your phone.

If you have tried the firmware update, please do share some comments under :)

So here comes another firmware update for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and this one is really interesting; at least for me :) What makes this firmware update interesting is of course as mentioned in this article title; the kinetic scrolling…

This kinetic scrolling have been waited by many Nokia 5800 XpressMusic lovers; and finally Nokia granted it and confirmed it at a recent Nokia Malaysia meet-and-greet session.

The firmware update will also enhance the home screen, improve the camera performance, and fix some bugs to make the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic more stable. Rumor buzzing over at the internet said that the firmware update will be available in the end of the summer. Hopefully.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usIt seems like Nokia is preparing yet another touchscreen phone, and the latest rumor buzzing over at the internet are saying that the next Nokia Touchscreen phone could be the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic (5530XM). According to my source at the dailymobile, the Nokia 5530 XM will have some decent specs and features, including:

  • 2.9 inch of Touchscreen Display
  • 3.2 megapixel camera
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • FM/RDS Radio

So what do you think about the specs and features of the rumored Nokia 5530 XpressMusic? I have to tell you that Nokia has to give different touch on the specs, if they want the Nokia 5530 XM to be differ from other phones. Let’s just admit it, there’s nothing special about the specs and features of the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. At least for now :)

However, just like always, if you are patient enough then it will be fixed. And now we just heard from Nokia that the company have fixed the US 3G problem.
