Bing is a relatively search engine, but this search engine comes from Microsoft. While it is not as popular as Google search engine, the Bing search engine still can steal some attention. Just recently we heard that Microsoft has released Bing as a new Android freeware, available from the Android Market.

Freeware: Bing for Android

The Bing for Android is available for Android smartphones from Verizon. Some of the Bing for Android freeware features are voice search function, stock quotes support, map locations,etc. Bing is surely a promising search engine.

In addition, Microsoft has also confirmed that the Bing for Android will soon be available for other Android smartphones from other carriers besides the Verizon, but there is no exact date. In the mean time, congratulations Verizon subscribers!

I am sure some of you are familiar with this search engine: StumbleUpon. The StumbleUpon is a unique discovery engine that serves you with websites etc which are recommended for you. This recommendations is based from your preferences and other recommendations from people who have the same interests as you do.

Now StumbleUpon has reached iPhone users, and they have released a free iPhone app called the StumbleUpon! for iPhone. With the free iPhone app you can discover your preferences of websites anytime. Users can also browse in preview or full version of a page. The setting is easy and the app works great.

This freeware is a voice integration / voice recognition app for iPhone 4. It means that it supports the iOS 4. As you speak, the Dragon Dictation iPhone app will note your speech in your text or email messages. They claimed that the iPhone app will help you write up to 5 times faster than the traditional typing. So here are the new addition to the iPhone App:

Skype app for iPhone that is always on? That previous sentence might be what people are waiting for, since the very first launch of the Skype app for iPhone. The new iOS 4 is now supporting the background multitasking, Skype has just updated the iPhone application with a support for iOS 4’s multitasking abilities.

IF you get any call while the Skype for iPhone is running on the background, you will be prompted. Moreover, if you want to switch to other apps while on a call, you can also do that while maintaining the Skype call. And here is the best part: the Skype to Skype call over 3G is still FREE! OF course the Skype to not skype call is not free of charge, but it is still great since Skype had a plan to charge the 3G calls.

Ok, let’s take a break from the Apple iPhone 4 antenna problem and the Steve Jobs vs RIM & Nokia. Here’s a nice thing to hear for iPhone users, including the iPhone 4.

One of the best media uploading app for iPhone, the Flickr iPhone app have been updated, and now they support iOS 4 multitasking and also HD Video uploads from iPhone 4.

That new and updated Flickr iPhone app is quite something, huh? Well, the Flickr iPhone app is a freeware and you can download it right away from the Apple App Store page.

Skyfire may not as popular as the Opera Mini or Mozilla Fennec, but the features is quite good. Just recently the Skyfire team have released the latest version of Syfire Beta for Android ver 2.2.0.18794. Some of the Skyfire for Android app are flash support, Intelligent related media recommendations, Innovative toolbar UI, options to cview mobile or desktop version of websites and instant share.

The Skyfire for Android app also added Geolocation support, Vertical search result, and the ability to set Skyfire for Android app as the default mobile web browser. The last feature works on Android 1.5 to 2.1 , but unfortunately not working in Android 2.2 froyo. Perhaps in the future update?

The Skyfire mobile browser for Android still has several issues such as finding videos and 25% stuck issues. However, it is one of the fastest growing mobile web browser, and I have to say that the Android app is promising.

The news about HTC EVO 4G, the Motorola Droid X, and the Samsung Vibrant or Galaxy S is all over the place, showing us that Android platform is getting more and more popular these days. One of the best Android apps in terms of web browsing is of course the Opera Mini. Just a while ago Opera has released the latest version of the Opera Mini that can work on Android smartphones such as the Droid X, EVO 4G or the Galaxy S.

Here is a good news for both Android and iPhone lovers. I’m sure the new users of HTC EVO 4G and iPhone 4 are delighted to hear this. Just recently Google has announced that they’re releasing the Google Docs app for Android, iPhone and iPad. So with the Google Docs app for Android, iPhone and iPad you can directly read documents from your emails without having to download them.

Best Android / Blackberry Apps

Here’s another best apps recommendation from me for Android phone users out there. But the reason I put the Android apps here is not because they offer the free and PRO version, it’s because they simply the best apps in their category. Whether you have HTC droid, Incredible or even the new HTC EVO 4G; these apps is a must have Android apps for people with a busy life and often on the go.

I’m sure some of you have heard Oprah’s campaign on no phone zone while driving. I’m also sure that some of you doesn’t agree with her or you agree but you feel that you still have to activate your phone while driving, just in case you get important calls etc. Well I recently got an interesting email and I think there’s now a win-win solution for this problem.

Meet two of my favorite apps when driving: Drivesafe and Caller ID Reader. Both apps comes from the same developer, and both apps will help you handle your email, text and phone while you ride, so you don’t have to look to your phone while driving. So you can stay connected, while keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Isn’t it great?

Well lets talk about them and allow me to give you a glimpse on how the apps works.
