HTC WIldfire Review Conclusion

HTC Wildfire has a beautiful name, but the HTC Wildfire doesn’t offer too much. To put it in a simple way, the HTC Wildfire is a HTC Desire Mini. The difference between HTC Wildfire vs the HTC Desire is just the lower screen quality and processing power.

It is clear that the HTC Wildfire is targeting lower / mid-range level, and perhaps it will be competitive enough. The Wildfire is just a repackage from an existing product for a different target market, just like the Sony Ericsson with its XPERIA X10 Mini. The difference is that the XPERIA X10 Mini is arguably unmatched in the ultra compact class due the level of miniaturization.

Another mid-range droid is the Samsung Galaxy 3, which is about to start shipping with the Android Eclair and native DivX/Xvid along with a slightly more expensive price tags than the HTC Wildfire.

There are also other options, such as Samsung Galaxy Spica and HTC Tattoo. If you are into imaging and stuffs, you should try the Sony Ericsson Vivaz that has the same price as the HTC wildfire but better specs, higher resolution touchscreen and excellent camera.

Bottom line is, the Wildfire face a lot of competitor, but it is its brother the HTC Legend that threaten the position of the HTC Wildfire. With a slightly different price, the HTC Legend offers  aluminum unibody and an HVGA AMOLED screen. THe HTC Wildfire is an upgrade option for HTC TAttoo and Magic, but it still needs to fight its way.

Now the Samsung Galaxy S has finally arrived in AT&T, in the name of Samsung Captivate. The AT&T Samsung Captivate Android might be the best Android smartphone that the AT&T has up until now. Mobileburn has made a Samsung Captivate review and here is the conclusion of the review:

AT&T samsung captivate Review and Picture

AT&T samsung captivate Review and Picture

Although AT&T has several solid offerings such as the HTC Aria, the Samsung Captivate offers much more power, a larger display, better battery life, and 16GB of on board storage. There’s also a 5 megapixel camera to a 1GHz processor and a Super AMOLED display.

In terms of design it is simply a a beauty all around. The Samsung Captivate also offers a nice experience during the review. There was a few problems with call quality, and its user interface hung from time to time while exiting application. Hopefully AT&T and Samsung will fix the bug in the next firmware update. All in all, the Samsung Captivate might be the best and most compelling AT&T android smartphone, although it may not be perfect.

Here are some of the Samsung Captivate review score:

  • Samsung Captivate HARDWARE Review Score : 4/5
  • Samsung Captivate USABILITY Review Score : 3/5
  • Samsung Captivate CALLING/DATA Review Score : 4/5
  • Samsung Captivate MESSAGING Review Score : 4/5
  • Samsung Captivate APPS/APP STORE Review Score : 4/5
  • Samsung Captivate BROWSER Review Score : 5/5
  • Samsung Captivate CAMERA Review Score : 4/5
  • Samsung Captivate MUSIC Review Score : 3/5
  • Samsung Captivate BATTERY Review Score : 3/5

Overall Review Score: 3.78/5

Here’s an interesting demo video about the Nokia N9 (some call it Nokia N8-01, nokia N8-02, etc). Well, whatever the name is, I think that the Nokia N9 video is quite cool. It gives us a hint on some Nokia N9 specs and features, along with the comparison between the Nokia N9 against iPhone 3GS and HTC EVO 4G.

Anyway, from the video it is revealed that the Nokia N9 will sports a 4 inches, 640 x 360 display capacitive touchscreen with multitouch technology. The front camera for video calling seems to be a VGA camera, and there’s an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash on the back. Other specs and features revealed are WiFi, Bluetooth and an HDMI output, together with support for the North American 850/1900 3G bands.

It’s performance is quite impressive, and it is running on Symbian^3 rather than MeeGo. Well, enjoy the video demo of the Nokia N9!

I’m just gonna be short so you can enjoy the video. Here is the video preview about the Nokia N9 (some people believe that it’s the variant of the Nokia N8).

In the video, the N9 runs on Symbian, and we can see that it has 3G, 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display, front facing camera with LED flash, 8MP main camera with dual LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI-out and of course a full sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Enjoy the Nokia N9 preview!

Yap. Here is the new Sprint’s beloved device. It is the HTC EVO 4G; the very first 4G Wimax Android smartphone. As I told you earlier, the HTC EVO 4G has a launch-day sold records, beating the Palm Pre. Based on the specs and features, the HTV EVO 4G is already monstrous. It also offers almost all current features, such as live video chat, high quality youtube videos, kickstand, and HDMI port (to connect to projector or television). Read more about it in the HTC EVO 4G review below!

HTC Tattoo is the high-end Android phone offered in an affordable price. It seems Tattoo users will get almost 50% of HTC Hero features in cheaper price.

Yes it is not so stylist but still it is well designed. The display is a 2.8-inch touchscreen. Being the first Android with nav pad, it is featured with a 3.2-megapixel snapper.

With its 2.8-inch display, it becomes the one of Android phones runs on a small screen. The display is resistive touchscreen with the res of QVGA or 240×320 pixels. The quality is not as good as Hero considering its low res and small display. However the responsiveness is good enough.

The HTC Sense UI has made it cool and also makes Android has been more enjoying. The Homescreen is changeable and can be customized with app shortcuts, HTC widgets, Android widgets or folders. The predefined homescreens such as HTC, Social, Work, Play, Travel, Clean Slate are provided.
