HTC WIldfire Review Conclusion
HTC Wildfire has a beautiful name, but the HTC Wildfire doesn’t offer too much. To put it in a simple way, the HTC Wildfire is a HTC Desire Mini. The difference between HTC Wildfire vs the HTC Desire is just the lower screen quality and processing power.
It is clear that the HTC Wildfire is targeting lower / mid-range level, and perhaps it will be competitive enough. The Wildfire is just a repackage from an existing product for a different target market, just like the Sony Ericsson with its XPERIA X10 Mini. The difference is that the XPERIA X10 Mini is arguably unmatched in the ultra compact class due the level of miniaturization.
Another mid-range droid is the Samsung Galaxy 3, which is about to start shipping with the Android Eclair and native DivX/Xvid along with a slightly more expensive price tags than the HTC Wildfire.
There are also other options, such as Samsung Galaxy Spica and HTC Tattoo. If you are into imaging and stuffs, you should try the Sony Ericsson Vivaz that has the same price as the HTC wildfire but better specs, higher resolution touchscreen and excellent camera.
Bottom line is, the Wildfire face a lot of competitor, but it is its brother the HTC Legend that threaten the position of the HTC Wildfire. With a slightly different price, the HTC Legend offers aluminum unibody and an HVGA AMOLED screen. THe HTC Wildfire is an upgrade option for HTC TAttoo and Magic, but it still needs to fight its way.
