After the launch of the first 4G phone in the world HTC EVO 4G earlier this month, Sprint is moving forward pretty quickly by releasing their next 4G phone, now in slider form. The second 4G phone and the first 4G slider phone is called Samsung Epic 4G, and according to our sources the Samsung Epic 4G will come to Sprint soon. How soon? well, they said it’s gonna be “in the coming months.”

Regarding the Samsung Epic 4G specs and features, it seems that the phone will come with a pretty similar features compared to the HTC EVO 4G, with some nice addition of super AMOLED touchscreen (4 inches wide) and a QWERTY keyboard. So for those who isn’t a fan of HTC EVO 4G’s virtual QWERTY keyboard now have the Epic 4G as the alternative.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz Design review

Sony Ericsson Vivaz has a standard design for a touchscreen phone. It has a large touchscreen display with nHD resolution (360 x 640 pixels) and three buttons bellow. Compared to the Sony ericsson Satio, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz is pretty similar but the top and bottom part is more curved. The material used for the Vivaz’s case is mostly plastics, but surprisingly it is very good and solid. All in all, it’s a well-built handset using quality plastics. Compact and lightweight, the Vivaz is a very friendly device, and beautifully styled too.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz Display review

As we’ve mentioned before, the 3.2″ resistive touchscreen has 640 x 360 pixel resolution and 16 Million colors. It has nice picture quality with excellent contrast for a TFT unit. Resistive displays generally need more pressure to get a click registered. As we found out though, the Vivaz screen response is excellent. The resistive technology is certainly not a drawback here. Unfortunately, the sunlight legibility is poor – the Vivaz does slightly better than the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, which has a screen with the same size, resolution and touch technology.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz User Interface (UI) Review

Checkout the video below :)

Sony ericsson Vivaz loud speaker and audio review

Our folks at gsmarena have conducted a loudspeaker test for the Vivaz. And the result is not so good. Compared to other phone such as Acer NeoTouch, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, SE Satio, and HTC Touch HD, the sony ericsson vivaz loudspeaker fall behind.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz isn’t the loudest of them handset as far as headphones volume is concerned. However when subjected to our traditional audio quality test it showed a decent overall performance with even a few excellent marks here and there. The noise level, dynamic range and stereo crosstalk are particularly impressive, while the distortion levels are both pretty decent.

The cut-off extreme bass frequencies are the only slight shortfall of the Vivaz frequency response. However it is excellent for the rest of the audible range so no biggie.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz Camera and Image Review

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz packs an 8-megapixel camera and is capable of taking photos of up to 3264 x 2448 pixels. It also sports a LED flash, but its serves video better than the still images. The interface is quite comfortable. In the options you’ll find several features such as self-timer, white balance, flash on/off, effects, image stabilizer and picture size.

Regarding the image quality, Sony Ericsson Vivaz produces splendid photos. The colors are vibrant and rich (too bad we don’t have the weather to prove it), the amount of resolved detail is very good and the noise levels are low. Overall the image quality is very impressive!

Sony Ericsson Vivaz main disadvantages:

  • No camera lens protection
  • No auto mode for the flash/video light
  • LED flash not powerful enough
  • The S60 5th edition UI isn’t to the best in class standards
  • No proximity sensor sensor to lock the screen during a call
  • No DivX or XviD support out-of-the-box
  • No smart or voice dialing
  • No office document editing (without a paid upgrade)
  • No stereo speakers
  • No digital compass (magnetometer)
  • Videocalling uses only the main camera (no secondary one)

Ok, I think that’s about it. Now what do you think about the Sony EricssonVivaz Review? Don’t forget to read the comparison between Sony Ericsson Vivaz vs Sony Ericsson Satio vs Samsung Omnia HD vs Samsung Jet

Hohoho…. it is time for another big news… Did you read my post about the powerful Sony Ericsson Rachael? It is the first Android phone from Sony Ericsson and it packs a great specs, including 1 Ghz of CPU; 8 Mpx camera and the latest Android OS version, the Android 1.5…

This time the Rachael got an official name of XPERIA X3; acccording to an online store named Expansys. They also released the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3/Rachael specs and features, which includes:

  • Quad-band GSM connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)

Sony Ericsson Rachael / Xperia X3 will have a customized UI on top of Android (probably Android OS 1.5). We might also see the XPERIA X2 and X3 be announced together soon. So cross your fingers and let’s hope for the best :)

If this rumor is true, things will be very exciting for Android lovers and developers! According to my source, there’s a leaked information on the very first LG Android phone; and the phone name is the LG GW620 Eve! Wow, could it be the first of the 3 android phone they promised to launch this year?

The information on the LG GW620 Eve is still insufficient, but better to have this than nothing, right?

Here are the current available specs and features of the LG GW620 Eve:

  • 320 x 480 pixels resolution display
  • HSDPA and UMTS
  • WiFi/WLAN
  • Full QWERTY keyboard
  • Touchscreen

No picture is out yet, but stay tune with us to find out more about the first Android Phone from LG

Don’t get too excited, though. Since it is still a rumor. However, if the rumor is true than this might be the Sony Ericsson’s headline of the year :) The first android phone from the Swedish company name is the Sony Ericsson Rachael

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

So according to my source, the SE Rachael will use Android platform and will pack an astonishing 1Ghz of CPU and an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus. The Rachael is also expected to use 7.2 Mbps connectivity, and also will support 3D graphic capabilities.

Based on the picture, there is a standard 3.5mm jack for headset found on the Sony Ericsson Rachael. It also has a pretty large screen, it’s around 4 inches diagonally. Wow that’s LARGE man…. Anyway, have I told you that the Rachael is in XPERIA lines?

UPDATE: it has a real name now; the XPERIA X3! Read specs and features here

Yeah, I know this story is kinda old (well, not so old actually), but I just want to provide more detailed information about the hot Samsung Jet S8000. To date, lucky people in United Kingdom can order the Samsung Jet S8000 that was announced just recently. The Samsung Jet S8000 which has attracted more than 2 million people to pre-order it can now be purchased for free if you are on contract plan with the Vodafone UK. So here’s the contract detail:

  1. £20 monthly for 2-yr contract plan
  2. £25 monthly for 18-month contract plan
  3. £40 monthly for 12-month contract plan

So the phone that was touted by its manufacturer as a phone that is smarter than a smartphone has cool specs and features such as:

  • 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels and 16 million colors
  • 800MHz processor
  • TouchWiz 2.0 UI
  • 2GB / 8GB / 16GB of internal memory

So now the Samsung Jet S8000 can be purchased online via Vodafone UK’s website.

Another news about the Dash 3G. Recently T-mobile released the official specs and features of the T-Mobile Dash 3G. As I told you before, the Dash 3G is the first T-Mobile’s 3G-enabled Windows Mobile phone. It is actually kind of nice seeing the new Dash 3G specs; however; in my opinion this handset doesn’t have any other bombastic features besides being the first 3G enabled WinMo phone.

Here’s the pics:
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kinda blurry huh? Don’t worry, I’ve compiled the notable specs and features of the T-Mobile Dash 3G for you. And here’s the list:

  • size 2.4″x 4.6″x0.5″
  • weight 4.2 ounces
  • 528MHz processor
  • Windows Mobile 6.1
  • Network: 850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100 MHz
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • 5-way trackball
  • 320×240 pixel color display

  • standby time 8.3 days
  • 256MB Flash + microSD Card Slot up to 32GB
  • 3G (UMTS) connectivity
  • Wi-Fi
  • 2 megapixel camera + video recording

So bottom line is…. What do you think? It has a nice processor and connectivity, but lack in other features….

Ok, I know you’ve been drooling for the Samsung Pixon12; but before you buy the Pixon12 with all its glory, it is wise to know other specs of the Samsung M8910 Pixon12 besides of the dazzling 12 megapixel camera:
